The Fairbanks Ranch residence had not been updated in more than 35 years. The remodel introduced new windows and doors throughout, including 20' LaCantina doors in the family room that open the interior to the pool and garden.  A new Lutron home-automation system was installed, giving the homeowners the ability to turn off all the lights with a single button, a feature that quickly became a favorite in a household with three teenagers.

The original flagstone floors were replaced with French oak, and dated entry columns were removed to create a more open flow through the main living areas. The laundry room was enlarged, and custom cabinetry and closets were added throughout. Additional updates included a wine display and a study area with a small kitchenette for the teens.

The updated interiors blend the family’s traditional preferences with a modern, neutral palette to create a functional home with strong long-term appeal.
