PRIVATE HOME THEATER
Recognized as a 2022 CEDIA Awards finalist for Best Home Cinema (Level III).
A one-of-a-kind private home theater built around the first residential 200" Sony Crystal LED video wall. Every surface had strict criteria for acoustical performance and required close coordination with engineers, contractors, and a skilled team of craftspeople.
Custom acoustical fabrics were developed through Opuzen’s digital print program, allowing bespoke patterns to be printed on acoustically transparent material to conceal the extensive speaker system.
Millwork detailing drew inspiration from the client’s Icelandic heritage and the Solfar Viking ship sculpture, with brass inlays accenting the seating platform. Custom Cineak Strato Lounge chairs upholstered in Elmo Soft Leather were scaled specifically for the client and coordinate with leather-wrapped columns housing the side speakers.
The organically shaped soffit integrates lighting, HVAC, and sprinkler systems and is finished with BASWA Phon acoustical plaster for a seamless absorptive surface. The underside is clad in gypsum relief panels by Modular Arts.
Additional finishes include a custom Stark carpet bordered with parquet flooring by Foglie d’Oro.
